Third, if there is a little rain then it is not dangerous and you can still kayak, but if you encounter any sign of a thunderstorm you need to stop kayaking and find some cover. Fourth is hypothermia and cold shock. Cold shock and hypothermia are risks especially in places like countries in Northern Europe, where the water is very cold. Cold shock is something that happens to your body when it is immersed in cold water. Because there is a huge difference in the temperature between your body and the water, that affects your body and causes changes in blood pressure, breathing and panic can set in.
